WW1 CEF Silver War Medal to Charles Harry KEMP for service with 90th Canadian Infantry Battalion "Winnipeg Rifles" who was born in Birmingham, England and attested for service in Winnipeg Man . on August. 10th 1915 at 44yrs of age. A very scarce medal to 90th Battalion as 90th Battalion was absorbed into the 11th Infantry Battalion fighting on the front and only those soldiers who reached England but were not absorbed into the 11th Infantry Battalion and sent to the front retained the original 90-Can. Inf. on the medal. Impressed along edge: 186609 A.CPL. C.H. KEMP 90-CAN. INF. With correct WW1 ribbon . Medal is in terrific condition, a copy of his service file (47 pages) included.
